We are currently looking for a GM for our client who operates a plastic manufacturing company in Onitsha. Technoflex Company Ltd is a leading manufacturer of flexible of plastic packaging and has been in operations and production for several decades in Nigeria. The general manager would have the overall responsibility of driving the vision of the organisation in addition to managing profit & loss (P&L), operations and people who contribute to the growth of the business. The GM would be expected to provide information to the business to drive key investments and investment recommendations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

LEADERSHIP:
• Supporting the development of a healthy internal culture that retains key employees and encourages their professional development.
• Provide direct management of key functional managers and executives in the business units.
• Oversee key hiring and talent development programs
CUSTOMER
• Insure overall delivery and quality of the unit's offerings to customers.
• Engage in key or targeted customer activities
• Develop and drive the sale strategy for best results
OPERATIONS
• Oversee daily operations for the business unit or organization.
• Insure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business.
• Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports.
• Insure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted production and manufacturing goals and objectives.
FINANCIALS
• Manage the companies P & L, risk management strategy and cost optimization
• Report key results to corporate management
• Engage with corporate management and board in broader organizational strategy planning
• Communicate strategy and results to the unit's employees.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
• Ensure Technoflex’s activities does not cause harm to the people or environment
• Champion Safety and inculcate a safety culture within Technoflex
• Run safe operations with zero incidents and fatalities

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor degree in Business Management, Finance, production, or related subject is required.
• Strong knowledge of Finance
• Experience of about 5 years in a managerial position in a food processing/manufacturing company.
